Overview

MixGoat is a desktop application for DJ library management. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we use it.

What We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account or subscribe to GOAT, we collect your email address. Payment information is processed by our payment provider (Stripe) and is never stored on our servers.

Mixpedia Search Queries

When you search Mixpedia, your search queries are sent to our servers to return results. We may log queries in aggregate to improve search quality. We do not link search queries to individual users.

Analytics

We collect anonymous usage analytics to understand how MixGoat is used and improve the product. This includes feature usage counts, app version, and operating system. We do not track individual files, track names, or library contents.

What We Don't Collect

  • ✓We never scan or read the contents of your files beyond what you explicitly process
  • ✓We never sell your data to third parties
  • ✓We never share your email with marketers

Local Processing

All file operations in MixGoat (migration, file fixing, loudness matching, metadata repair, organization) happen entirely on your computer. Your files never leave your machine. MixGoat writes changes directly to your local files.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe (stripe.com). Card details are captured inside Stripe’s iframe and tokenized on Stripe’s servers — we never see or store your credit card information. Please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

Cookies

The MixGoat website uses essential cookies for basic functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and other privacy regulations, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can also request a copy of your data or ask us to stop processing it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your MixGoat account and all associated personal data at any time, on any platform (desktop, web, iOS, or Android).

How to request deletion

  • Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Delete my account”.
  • We will confirm the request within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What we delete

All personal data tied to your account is deleted, including: profile information (name, email), saved libraries, playlists, likes, followed artists, search history, push notification tokens, and subscription records.

What we retain

Anonymous, aggregated analytics with no personal identifiers may be retained indefinitely for product improvement. Transaction records required for legal or tax purposes (e.g., subscription invoices) are retained for the period required by applicable law. Active in-app or in-store subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple App Store or Google Play before account deletion.

Timeline

Personal data is fully deleted from our active systems within 30 days of your request. Encrypted backups are purged within 90 days of the next backup rotation cycle.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of MixGoat after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
