BUILT BY DJS,
FOR DJS
MixGoat started from real frustration. Incompatible files that wouldn't play at the club. Libraries full of wrong metadata and no organization. Being locked into one DJ software because migration meant losing years of cue points and playlists.
We're DJs who got tired of the workarounds. So we built the tool we wished existed — one app that fixes your files, matches loudness, organizes tracks, repairs metadata, and migrates between platforms.
Then we went further. We built Mixpedia — a searchable database of real DJ sets that shows you who played any track, where, and when. And Smart Recommendations — the first recommendation engine powered by actual co-play data from dancefloors, not algorithms guessing what you might like.
THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE
DJs have been using 5+ separate tools to manage their libraries. One for migration, another for metadata, another for file fixing, another for loudness. And nobody was building the intelligence layer — knowing who plays what, discovering tracks through real DJ behavior instead of algorithms.
MixGoat replaces the entire toolchain with one app. And it adds capabilities that didn't exist before.
HOW IT WORKS
MixGoat reads native database formats from Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, and VirtualDJ, converts everything through a universal model, and writes it out in any target format. For metadata, we query a comprehensive music database covering tens of millions of tracks, updated daily. For recommendations, we analyze real DJ tracklists to find co-play patterns.
Built as a desktop app for macOS and Windows, MixGoat runs entirely on your machine. Your library stays yours. Every destructive operation includes automatic backups and preview modes.
WHY MIGRATION IS FREE
We believe switching DJ software should never cost money. Other tools charge $50-200 for library conversion. MixGoat does it for free — unlimited, no trial, no tricks. We make money from GOAT features like Mixpedia, loudness matching, and metadata repair. Migration is our way of giving back to the DJ community.
